Yamaha doesn’t spec the output level, but by experience it has a -10dBv nominal output level. This can work fine at home but probably not for a normal level gig. Meaning the maximum volume you can get from this setup is only about one third of the maximum perceived volume your powered speaker is capable of.įor both of these cases you’re not really losing or wasting power, but rather are unable drive the powered amp to it’s maximum volume.
